Dopo la diffusione di un misterioso documento su Youtube, se ne face un gran parlare sui forum di mezzo mondo. Ci si impegnò comunitariamente per tirare fuori le ipotesi più fantasiose ed azzardate. Si trattava di un video che racconta la vicenda di tre amici (Tiago, Tania e David): percorrendo in automobile l’itinerario verso Sintra (Portogallo), in una strada buia, dopo un lungo tratto di percorso, intravedono una sagoma, visibile nel documento. Si tratta di una ragazza che chiede un passaggio.


In seguito a una relativamente lunga attesa, il personaggio adesso sull’auto racconta la propria storia.
Questo è il dialogo:

David: Ciao.

Teresa: Posso avere un passaggio?

David: Per dove?

Teresa: Là, avanti.

David: Ok, sali. Tiago è la tua macchina… A te sta bene?

Tiago: Stai andando a Sintra?

Teresa: Sto andando là, avanti.

David: Ok. Cosa stai facendo qui così tardi?

Tiago: La telecamera può darle noia David, spegnila.

David: È meglio spegnerla questa…

Tiago: Ma è successo qualcosa, come ti chiami? Noi non conosciamo il tuo nome.

Teresa: Teresa.

Tiago: È accaduto qualcosa laggiù? David, hai quella […] ancora accesa? Spegnila.

Tania: Hei, David! [rivolgendosi a Teresa] Sei sicura di stare bene? Vuoi qualcosa da bere? Noi abbiamo dell’acqua… Vuoi bere qualcosa da bere?

Teresa: Sto cercando di capire cosa è successo!

David: Dicci cosa è accaduto.

Teresa: Puoi vedere quel punto là?

David: Sì.

Teresa: Vedi quel punto là? Là è dove ho avuto un incidente… e sono morta.

Secondo il racconto del video, queste sarebbero le ultime parole dei ragazzi. Tiago e Tania sarebbero morti nell’incidente; David, il sopravvissuto, non avrebbe mai raccontato cosa accadde realmente quella sera. La polizia, secondo i racconti ricostruibili sui vari forum del web, avrebbe poi scoperto che nel 1983, nello stesso punto indicato nel documento, perse la vita una ragazza di nome Teresa Fidalgo.

Nota conclusiva

Il filmato venne realizzato dal regista portoghese David Rebordão: si trattava di purissima finzione. La notorietà della sua opera, grazie alla trovata della divulgazione anonima via internet, e alle dicerie che gli utenti si impegnavano a tirare fuori su ogni tipo di forum, ebbe una portata sconvolgente.
